Bridging Statistics & Public Policy with Service.

Where Evidence Meets the People It Misses.

Guided by a habit of counting things, David Liu, a researcher, game builder, legislative intern, volleyball captain and stage ensemble member, works on the problems that standard systems leave unsolved. A senior at Crystal Springs Uplands School in Hillsborough, California, he builds virtual reality games for children with moderate to severe autism, wrote and published his own survey study of how neurodiverse students learn mathematics, and has interned since September 2025 in the office of California State Senator Josh Becker, where he follows a farmworker health law from the Governor's signature toward the farms it was written for.

Off the page he founded and captains his school's first boys varsity volleyball team, has sung in the ensemble of three school musicals, and is president of the youth civic organization he started in 2024. Here you will find the work itself: the games, the papers, the law, the teams and the stage.
